The campaign, initially announced in 2020, now encompasses an additional 90,468 units manufactured between August 2017 and June 2018, including 2,204 vehicles that had previously received replacement fuel pump assemblies.

The recall affects various Honda models manufactured during the specified period, including the Honda Amaze, Honda Brio, Honda BR-V, Honda City, Honda Jazz, and Honda WR-V.

This preventive measure aims to protect vehicles from the risk of unexpected engine stalling due to faulty fuel pump impellers, which can lead to engine shutdown or failure to start.

Additionally, Honda encourages vehicle owners to check if their car is part of the recall. By entering the 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda’s dedicated microsite (available at www.hondacarindia.com/honda-services/important-information), owners can confirm their vehicle’s status.

Customers who purchased fuel pump assemblies from authorized Honda dealerships between June 2017 and October 2023 are also advised to verify the status of their parts through their local Honda dealership.
